THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Salesforce area in Portugal !

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving the execution of Salesforce's initiatives across several teams in a high quality and effective manner. This role takes a holistic perspective about how all the moving parts should tie together and systemizes it into a functioning program.

You will collaborate with several roles and squads to ensure that necessary deliverables are worked into their plans and have an end-to-end oversight of the projects, while keeping all players coordinated on progress and deadlines, anticipating bottlenecks and providing escalation management when needed.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Deliver products initiatives using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently;
  • Stay on top of program initiatives schedules providing risks, deadlines and efforts' clarity to stakeholders;
  • Lead collaborative cross team decisions - prioritising the work that needs to be done vs the capacity and capability of the team;
  • Lead tech leads/ engineering managers, coaching them on technical and soft skills;
  • Lead initiative across squads connecting the architecture and organizing interdependencies across other focus areas;
  • Facilitate decision making around changes on product development, assuring the consequences are understood and changes are visible;
  • Guide teams into the Agile best practices, facilitating ceremonies and fostering an accountability culture of delivery into the teams;
  • Track, in collaboration with the product team, problems on the initiatives troubleshooting incidents assessing impact and risk;
  • Monitor and give visibility to OKRs, initiative status, agile metrics identifying bottlenecks, and engage the teams on opportunities of improvements.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline or equivalent practical experience;
  • Consolidated experience in computer/ software technology;
  • Consolidated experience with the Salesforce platform;
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects in an Agile environment;
  • Advanced experience in Agile methodologies and frameworks;
  • Experience with software development processes and agile tools (e.g. Jira, Pivotal Tracker, Bugzilla, etc.);
  • Experience with troubleshooting technical issues, including capturing and analyzing logs;
  • Knowledge of Software Architecture and system integration;
  • Knowledge of Software Development methodologies and modern software design;
  • Maturity, high judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical mindset and leadership skills;
  • Ability to take medium to large initiatives and break them down into manageable pieces, developing functional specifications;
  • Internal service orientation (manage business needs versus technical constraints);
  • Ability to speak English and Portuguese fluently and idiomatically.
  • These will be considered a plus:_
  • Past experience with Architecture, Golang, Java, Scala, Node.js or Ruby on Rails;
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
