Vestas Technology & Operations > Research & Development > Communication InfrastructureThe Communication Infrastructure department is responsible for developing new solutions and improving security and functional capabilities for the standard offerings for Wind Park IT/OT network infrastructure. Our solutions are used globally to support SCADA (data acquisition and control). We are responsible for designing end-to-end delivery of communication infrastructure solutions in collaboration with Digital Solutions and Service organization and responsible for the governance of processes and procedures that enable operational excellence throughout the lifecycle of the Vestas products.The individual responsibilities in the department vary from hardware design based on industrial-grade equipment to designing and enabling advanced security solutions with advanced networking technologies. Responsibilities Become one of the driving forces in developing and maintaining our Wind Park Network Architecture that accommodates network connectivity and resilience in our customers' Wind Power Plants across the globe Work closely with our regional experts and local security specialists in a truly global organization Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements Design and implement secure communication infrastructure aligned with the industry standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy Implement early-stage feasibility studies of new projects working together with other peers in labs and proof of concept for new technology solutions Last, but not least, work as a Technical Lead on project deliveries together with Project Managers, working as a Solution Architect/Technical Project Manager according to Vestas' project delivery model namely ''Modular Vestas Way to Market” (MVWtM) Qualifications University degree (or equivalent) in IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar Minimum of years of professional experience within communication infrastructure technologies, ideally from a global company 3-5 years of hands-on experience in advanced network architecture and design You can demonstrate experience or formal knowledge within network security for Industrial Control Systems Good at technical documentation for internal and customer usage Fluent in English (written and spoken) CompetenciesThe ideal candidate should have the following soft skills: Great stakeholder management and interpersonal skills at both a technical and non-technical level Goal-orientated and demonstrates a high level of commitment with the ability to work under minimal supervision Customer-oriented, whether responding to support queries or developing new functionalities Strives when working in a team of highly motivated engineers and values partnership and collaboration to achieve a common vision and targets You are open-minded, a good communicator and able to establish relationships across geographical boundaries and cultures And the following technical skills: Professional experience maintaining real-world production systems. Build and maintain complex network designs Experience with NextGen firewalls, Unidirectional gateways, design of security zones, IDS/IPS Experience with Cisco ISE (LDAP, REST APIs), IPSec VPN, DMVPN and device authentication (IEEE .1x) Facilitate Log & Net flow analysis, vulnerability identification and evaluation, patch management (life cycle management) for network equipment OSPF, BGP and related routing protocols Copper/Fiber Optics technologies supporting LAN, WAN and Wireless Knowledge about Information Security and Risk Management Working experience with GitHub and JIRA or similar tools as we work Agile in our working environment What We OfferWe offer you an exciting possibility to attain responsibility for the network behind core products, which are business-critical to both our customers and to Vestas.
