What you will be doing: Finance Center of Excellence Accountants monitor end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay (PtP) performance at country and regional level. Based on the strategic and tactical priorities for PtP, the COE Accountant proactively leads the required projects and drives the required change . In addition to regular partnering with regional business stakeholders on PtP-related process and system issues, and advises all parties – business stakeholders, shared services, and FedEx suppliers – on solutions to complex PtP challenges while also helping to deploy specific solutions and improvements. Finally, COE Accountants leverage their proximity to business stakeholders and in-depth knowledge to lead complex, high-impact PtP projects. Specialist : Involves the application of specialist knowledge which may include providing specialist advice to employees, management or customers, managing or maintaining systems or processes or completing projects to develop or changing systems or processes as appropriate. Job Responsibilities Purchase to Pay; Record to Report; Financial Control, Project management, Contract Management, Technical Accounting, US GAAP, Local GAAP, Process Specialist, End-to-End Insights, Transformation/ Global Business Services Other Duties May be required to perform other duties as assigned Geographic Remit Up to regional level Vendor Responsibility Works Alongside Vendors Forward Planning Responsibility Plans and organizes own work on weekly/monthly basis Process Responsibility Develops existing and new team processes and procedures Internal Contacts Regular interaction with First Line Management/ with Senior Management/ with Directors Occasional interaction with Officers (VP and above) External Contacts Occasional interaction with external customers/ with suppliers and vendors/ with consultants Regular interaction with government agencies/ authorities, trade associations or similar Occasional interaction with works' councils, unions and official employee groups Occasional interaction with press and media Relevant Experience A moderate level (3-5 years) What do you bring with you: Successful candidates are adept team players and have excellent critical thinking and communication skills. Experience in the Purchase-to-Pay environment of a multi-national company is an asset, while experience with finance ERPs and automation is a plus.
